WHO WE ARE
We are a local non-profit organization that is comprised of volunteers from the 12 sectors of the community, Board of Directors and staff who implement evidence-based strategies to create a healthier environment for youth. MHYP began in 2011 with a small, determined and dedicated group of volunteers in Larkspur and Corte Madera – and later in the Ross Valley community – who came together as leaders in addressing the local conditions that lead to underage substance use in Marin.
Sector Representatives
MHYP has representatives from each of the 12 community sectors (and more) that have been identified as vital to the success of any community-level prevention effort. These include Youth, Parents, Business, Media, Schools, Youth Serving Organizations, Law Enforcement, Religious, Civic Groups, Healthcare Professionals, Local Government Agencies and other Organizations Involved in the Reduction of Substance Abuse.
